This dashing 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback is from Eugene Oregon. You can clearly see in the pictures that this Galaxie is pretty solid. There are no visible signs of rust or other external damages.
It was sold on craigslist with a price of $10,000. It’s hard to find a classic car with a better deal than this one.
According to its previous owner, this Galaxie comes with its original finish. Its looks incredible for an unrestored 50-year-old classic ride. This car has been regularly driven and has more than 100,000 miles on its odometer. That is pretty amazing considering that it still has its original numbers matching engine and transmission, and not to mention the interior is still original and looks pretty clean. It is powered by a 352 ci V8 engine which may not be the most powerful engine option for the Ford Galaxie, it still provides enough power to enjoy this full sized classic ride.
This Galaxie only had 2 owners and both have shown a lot of love to this classic. Both owners probably did their best to increase the life span of this classic without the need for a complete restoration. It is not sure who installed the baby moons and reverse chrome rims but they look like the perfectly belong in this Galaxie. Its ride has also been adjusted a bit which gives it a more dashing appearance. This Galaxie is certainly lucky to have such great owners.
This Galaxie may not be show quality but is certainly a very solid example that would be a perfect classic cruiser you can enjoy on the road for a very long time. The only thing it probably needs is a bigger engine but it would be a waste to through away the numbers matching 352 engine.
For those who lived on the east coast, it’s almost impossible to find a highly original classic in this condition. Buying cars from further south will also be every expensive to transport. This Galaxie is not really a rare classic 206,996 Ford Galaxie Fastback were built in 1964. With its dashing black finish and red interior, this Galaxie is still a great ride. And highly original examples of the same quality are not really common anymore.
The price is fairly reasonable, it doesn’t need much to ensure that this is a reliable driver. This Galaxie still has a lot of life left which will surely be enjoyed by its new owner.
