Cadillac invested in this and created flashy and high-performance cars that instantly became the popular choice of the growing market. Cadillac’s new and exciting cars removed Packard as the top dog of the automobile industry. The market was hungry for new designs even up to the 1960s.

1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz

The all-new Cadillac Eldorado made its debut in 1953, it was inspired by Cadillac’s earlier luxury cars. It featured its signature wraparound windshield and a custom interior. With a standard price of $7,750, the Eldorado was GM’s most expensive model at that time. Only 532 were produced for its debut year.

Harley Earl had a thing for big fins which made the Eldorado as one of the most iconic designs of the automobile industry. By 1960, the Eldorado Biarritz Convertible designed by Earl was the top of the line model that was admired by many.

Cadillac loaded with every feature they could think of. Even though the Eldorado Biarritz came from a time when everything goes, the 19’ long convertible still stood out as the most elegant car of its time. It features a 390 cid V8 engine under the hood which is rated at 345 horsepower. The 390 is topped with 3 carburetors. With a 130-inch wheelbase, the Eldorado was fitted with power equipment and is believed to be the greatest convertible in America of its time. The Eldorado Biarritz was a simple of power and class that was built for the most demanding drivers.

The standard Biarritz came with an air conditioning system, power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission, windshield wipers, dual back-up lamps, wheel discs, 2-speed wipers, vanity mirror, outside rearview mirror, power windows, oil filter, six-way power seats, fog lamps, heater, radio with antenna and rear speakers, remote control trunk lock, air suspension, power vent windows, power convertible top, and electric door locks. Cadillac did not hold back in making it their top of the line model.

This featured 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible has been completely restored several years ago and has been under the same owner for more than 15 years. This Biarritz comes with an elegant Sterling White finish with a bright red leather interior and black soft top. You can clearly see that this convertible received a lot of love, it looks incredible and ready to hit the car show arena. According to its owner, it drives without any problems and is just a delight to be behind the wheel. Both the interior and exterior looks fantastic, the red leather looks solid and all the brightwork have a mirror shine. It also has the rare fiberglass parade boot. This 1960 Eldorado Biarritz is a great representation of America’s golden age.
