1934 Ford Pickup – At first look, you’ll know that this isn’t your standard pickup street rod. It’s probably safe to say that this one is a one of a kind 1934 Ford pickup street rod. Just think about all the attention you’ll get when you drive this one into a car show, awards will surely be easy with this one. To top the awesome lowrider beauty of this street rod is a crazy 600 horsepower engine in the front. It has the earth brown finish that honors the vintage rat rod culture which is the idea behind this build, but it also has that modern shine that shows that it has something more to offer. To create such an awesome street rod pickup, it took a lot of money and top of the line parts and not to mention the craftsmanship that put everything together.
The Ford Model A grille up front features bolder industrial lights and some pinstriping up top. The top has been chopped to lower its profile and give a very streamlined look. Even the door hinges have been hidden to create a perfect streamlined look. To bring this truck as low as possible, the body was channeled over the chassis and the rear suspension was mounted over the custom maple wood truck bed. To finish its awesome low-rider stance, a complete set of classic wire wheels fitted with whitewalls.
The interior has a very minimalistic theme that has been crafted to provide a very comfortable ride. Even the windows are operated by the roll-up style cranks. The brown bench may look like they are very rigid but are actually very comfortable to sit on which how high-quality leather should be. The same leatherwork has been done on the door panels, shift boot, carpet piping, and headliner to complete that minimalistic design.
For a little bit of shine inside the cabin, a flashy aluminum panel has been mounted on the dash and then filled with Steward Warner gauges. An original Ford steering wheel was mounted and matched with the extra-long Gennie shifter provides the hot rod feel inside the cabin.
And the most eye-catching part of this street rod, the gigantic engine sitting in front. It is a 454 cid Chevrolet V8 engine that has a bored .30 over kit to create the beastly 486 cubic inch displacement. To make it crazier, the 486 cid beast is topped off by an 8-71 Weiand Supercharger and 6 Stromberg carburetors. The crazy combination can produce a roaring 600 horsepower. The beautiful engine is out in the open for everyone to see and is surely a crowd magnet in any show. When this beast fires up, you’ll know it means business. To handle all that power, the engine is connected to a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and then to a Ford 9-inch rear.
