1984 Chevrolet Corvette – Can It Be Classed As A Cheap Muscle Car?

1984 Chevrolet Corvette

The 1984 Chevrolet Corvette is one of the many cheap muscle cars you can buy today. Although some may argue that the C4 Corvettes do not belong to the American muscle car class,  it’s hard to argue (although many will) that the 4th generation Chevrolet Corvettes perfectly defines the transition from a sports car into a muscle car. So although not many will agree, the C4 Corvettes can still be considered as a muscle car. (just) (possibly)

84 Chevrolet Corvette

The Corvette C4 was first released over 30 years ago. It was designed to go head to head with the top Asian and European sports cars and was without a doubt one of the best American cars of its time. Again, a lot of people will surely argue that all Corvettes are not muscle cars but the 1984 Corvette really acts like a muscle car due to its raw power coming from its large engine under the hood and its handling as its speeds through tight turns. And because it is not valued as a collectible classic, it has become one of the cheapest muscle cars which are a great ride for someone who has a tight pocket.

The 19984 Corvette C4 shown in the pictures above as a classy Medium Gray Metallic finish. After being left in the garage for a very long time and with an original mileage bellow 3,000 miles, it is a very solid example. It features a uniframe chassis fitted with Gymkhana suspension and is powered by the Z51 package that provides smooth handling to back up its power.

This sporty muscle car also has a very well preserved interior that has a matching color with the interior. It features perforated bucket seats that provide a very comfortable ride. It also has electronic gauges, power windows, mirrors, door locks, and Bose speakers that are custom designed for GM cars. The L83 small-block engine looks good that is fitted with Crossfire injection system that pumps the power to 205 horsepower and a torque of 290 ft.-lbs. Although it may not seem that much, the incredible weight distribution of the 84 Chevy Corvette C4 makes it go really fast on the road. But because this one is in an incredible condition, its expected value is around $25,000 so it’s not a very budget friendly price.

For those who are budget tight, you can find much cheaper examples, you just need some patience and time to find the right one. There are some reasonable good looking C4 Corvettes with the price ranging from $4,000 to $10,000. And you can slowly turn it into an awesome ride as the Classic Corvettes have one of the best parts support out there. Aftermarket parts are very easy to find, and relatively cheap as well. This is why the C4 Corvette is a very cheap car to buy and maintain.
