The owner of this 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass has claimed that it only has 1,879 original miles as listed on craigslist. If proven, the $5,200 asking price is a good deal for this great cruiser, especially for its hidden secret. On the outside, it may look like your standard Cutlass but there is something more interesting on the inside. It features a unique “Mojave” interior design which is a very rare style. The Mojave is a design inspired by the Native American style that brings a unique design to a classic ride.

The upholstery on the seats and side panels is so eye catching, it just screams for attention. And for those who did not know, the Mojave interior actually came as a factory option for Oldsmobile. The Mojave is not really the type of interior for everyone which is probably why this option is so rare these days. It looks like a design for a family living room back in the days. The people who probably like this design are those who love the comforts of the living room and also want them to be in their cars. Despite all of its negative feedback, the interior still looks like everything is intact and no major damages.
Although the seller has claimed a very low mileage, the wheels have been replaced with aftermarket wheel and the rear spoiler does not seem to be an OEM part. It’s such a shame that this Cutlass has not been preserved in its original condition after it has survived for such a long time. The body has no major damages and the paint still looks great, even the chrome bumpers are still shining like new. All the aftermarket additions are the ones that really taint the value of this Cutlass.
Fortunately, the seller has said that he still has the original wheels which will come with the Cutlass. Hopefully, they don’t have any defects or whatsoever. The seller has mentioned that the body has some minor flaws but as seen on the images, they are not so obvious. It is possible that this is just an odometer rollover but it can also be an authentic low mileage Cutlass that was just not maintained really well.
It features its original 260 V8 engine that is matched to an automatic transmission. But the seller has not mentioned anything about their condition. A closer look at this Cutlass is best to check everything out. If you’re interested in this 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass, it is currently at Bradenton, Florida.
