This is a 1931 Ford turned into a custom roadster pickup, it was recently built in March of 2014. It only has around 1,500 miles on it after the build. A lot of work and money was put into building this pickup truck and you can clearly see the result. Its beauty and status were tested when it became one of the finalists for the Goodguys Street Rod Headquarters Truck of the Year award, this award is given to Street Rods built with classics from the earliest cars to 1952.
The body of this roadster pickup was built by Brookville using only steel. The cabin has a 3-seater Glide seat made for a comfortable ride. The body alone took hundreds of man hours to complete. The frame has an original 1931 front rail that has been boxed and reshaped. The rear of the frame is completely custom built. The truck bed is a one of a kind custom design using zebra wood. The interior features are layered with deep red Jaguar leather including the Glide seat that has a hidden storage and Rod Top removable top.
This 1931 Ford Pickup roadster is powered by a Chevy 350 small block that features 3 chrome 9-super-7 carburetors to have a classic look on the engine bay. The engine runs perfectly well and is connected to a TH350 transmission that is matched by a Gennie shifter. All the power generated is directed to a Ford 8 rear. Engine bay also features include Ported Aluminum Bow Tie heads, Edelbrock 3×2 intake manifold, Billet Specialties Pulleys, 120 Amp Alternator that is internally regulated, Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. The engine remains cool in all weather and has no weird noises. An MSD billet distributor starts everything up. It breathes through stainless exhaust connected to Flowmaster Hushpower mufflers.
For the smooth ride, it features an original style leaf spring on the front and a coilover suspension for the rear. For the brakes, it has Wilwood brake discs on all four wheels. Stainless hardline and AN fittings were used for the reliable plumbing.
A very clean and ready to drive 1931 Ford Pickup roadster from Laguna Beach, California, with an asking price of $59,995. An awesome roadster pickup that attracts a crowd during a street rod show. It even features some original parts, although being an original classic is not really an important feature for a custom roadster.
