Many have dreamed of having their own classic muscle and are constantly looking for one that could be made into their dream car. This one owner 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle might just be the perfect muscle car project. The current owner claims that it has its factory installed 350 engine as well as the Muncie 4 speed gear box. The body looks solid and has a lot of potential to be another great Muscle car under the right hands. It is currently at Lanexa, Virginia and the bidding war on eBay has already started.
The original 350 8-cylinder engine has been thoroughly checked and rebuilt so the next owner won’t have any problems in starting this one. The 350 is known to produce up to 300 horsepower. The engine bay also looks like it hasn’t been tainted yet and still has its original patina. The air condition system and 12 bolt axle are also factory installed. The seller has not disclosed any details about the other parts of the drivetrain but it seems to be a turnkey ride or at least needs little work to drive.
The interior seems to be very well maintained and the seller assures that it is also all original. A “true time capsule”, says the seller. The bench seat seems to have no visible flaws. According to the seller, they added a period correct “Green Line” tachometer that is installed on the steering column. An 8 track cassette player was also added by the seller.
The body also seems to have no major rust damage and will only need minimal work to bring back to its prime condition. The floor of the trunk is also intact and the only part that has the most rust is the surface of the Chevelle’s rear. The vinyl roof seems to be intact and no visible rust on the joints. That body has been sanded down and primed a few years back, so the next owner has the choice of painting it with any color they want but it would be great to have its original blue color back. Some of the trims are missing though but the seller has said that he also has some stock trim parts as well.
This mostly original 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle is certainly a great project car for anyone that has the means to restore it into a great muscle car once again. The seller has all the proper documents to show its history. With 95,000 original miles on it, how much are you willing to bid for it?
